Nichole Villafane Email: nvillafane@survivorswithvoices.org

On December 26, 2013, Nichole Villafane’ s world was changed forever as her son was shot and killed in a senseless act of violence. Walking a bike trail, Xavier Arnold, a U.S. army soldier, along with two friends was attacked by two Nicholeguys attempting to rob them. Once Xavier and his friends resisted the attack, one of the guys opened fire fatally shooting Xavier while injuring another friend. The two young men were sentenced to life in prison. However, during the sentencing Nik Villafane was able to give her final words to the two guys who took her son away from her. Through all of the hurt and pain, Nik managed to tell the guys that she forgave them. “I do forgive you. But it’s not for you; it’s for me. God bless you,” said Villafane exiting the stand clutching the necklace around her neck where her son’s ashes rested. Now she has joined forces with Survivors with Voices Foundation and serves as the Atlanta Chapter President.

Kelly Ellis-Johnson Email: kjohnson@survivorswithvoices.org

KellyKelly Johnson is a 40 year old divorcee and mother of 3 beautiful children. She is also a Survivor of Rejection, Infidelity and Spiritual Incest. She was born and raised in Ohio and immediately after graduating high school decided to join the military. It wasn't until she heard the Lord telling her to move to her hometown in Ohio that she came to the realization that she needed to deal with these feelings that resulted from spiritual incest, infidelity and rejection. She wanted to empower women to move past abusive relationships (both physically and mentally) and be free. She knows however that as God has placed Survivors with Voices in my path to acknowledge those feelings and be transparent so that others can feel empowered to unlock their voices; she says," I am doing the right thing and I am thankful for Alissa's (Founder of SWV Foundation) role in my life. The more I tell my story the stronger I become both mentally and spiritually. Chains are being broken. I am a Survivor!"

Alissa R. Jones Email: ajones@survivorswithvoices.org

Alissa From the moment Alissa opened her mouth she found the power within her own story to encourage other survivors to heal wounds that can’t be seen with one small move and that is to speak! One speaking occurrence lead to the next and women of all ages were experiencing the freedom they longed for simply by Alissa provoking them to talk about their story. As a strong advocate of supporting the vision and goals of others, Alissa has a passion for strengthening women in all areas of life by becoming an author, motivational speaker, and the Founder & Director of the Survivors with Voices Foundation, which has several chapters spread throughout the United States. These days, she’s not just providing a platform for the sexually abused but she includes men and women of valor who are survivors. The mission is simply to assist all survivors by helping them to embrace their seen and unseen scars, find their voice, and ultimately overcome their past. Alissa lives by the words, "Your words, your journey, your story -- You never know who you may inspire or help to come forward in the expression of one's abuse or recovery thereof". Simply put when one speaks, we all speak!
